Classification of Brass Valves

Ⅰ. Types of brass valves

Brass valves are very common and essential materials. So what are the commonly used brass valves? Now Sanfitec will introduce the classification of the brass valves. According to functions and uses, the brass valve is mainly divided into the following categories:

1. Brass gate valve

Gate valve refers to the valve that the shutter of the closing member moves along the vertical direction of the channel axis. It is mainly used as a shut-off medium in the pipeline, that is, fully open or fully closed.

2. Brass ball valve

The brass ball valve evolved from the plug valve. Its opening and closing part is a ball, which uses the ball to rotate 90° around the axis of the valve stem to achieve the purpose of opening and closing. 3. Brass stop valve

Brass stop valve refers to a valve whose closing member disc moves along the center line of the valve seat. According to this movement form of the disc, the change of the valve seat port of the brass valve is proportional to the stroke of the disc.

4. Brass check valve

The brass check valve relies on the flow of the medium itself to automatically open and close the valve flap, which is used to prevent the backflow of the medium.

Ⅱ. Precautions for installation of the brass valve

In fact, we know that the product is an important part of the pipeline, and the brass valve manufacturer needs to design the pipeline according to the installation and use instructions of different valve types in advance. When installing and welding on the pipe, make sure that the valve is fully open. Sometimes the temperature of the pipeline that needs to be installed is relatively high. In this case, it is not possible to install and use the valve, because the overheated pipeline will burn the sealing surface of the valve. When we use the product, it also needs to be placed in a suitable environment, which can extend the life of the product.
